I am writing a piece on this topic as I have found out that it is one that catche's my fancy everytime I hear it- How to make a handicapped person happen Firstly to be very practical If you are the sociable type the best approach would 'be' not to disclose your Handicapps if it does not affect you day to day normal living activities things like walking Eating ,reading,driving,sex,sports,working The reson being that in todays world most persons tend to be prejudiced immediately if you tell them that You are handicapped as the first things that comes to most persons minds are things like Disability,Disableds,Badomen, Bad luck ,Rejections,Failure as most persons who are starting out in life Or about to make it dont like to be associated with such images or persons as to them it means inadequacy Secondly it would be helpful if you have just moved into a new area to join local clubs, Associations,church groups,musical groups if you are musical,or get some work or job to do as you might Become the focus of attention immediately if it becomes known that you are handicapped and that in itself Might make life very difficult for you to live. Joining those groupings would make you easily acceptable and adjustment to your new areas would be easy As most persons would not notice any difference between you and persons who are not handicapped like you When you start to mingle Thirdly having a boyfriend or girlfriend would help as that would mean that you are taking part in a way In social development and from my 'observations' only 'that' to them apart from work is a normal Behaviour. If you cant seem to find any one to be play mates with you can invite friends from other areas until you Make friends in your new area If things are still difficult it would be helpful if you booked in for any college course or any course At all from any provider as that would afford you the opportunity to meet with locals living in the area This would give you an opportunity to show your skills if you are good or very good and that usally leads To friendships between persons who have the same skills ,likes or tastes Updating your 'wears,clothes collections including musical equipments,stereos,etc could help as looking Good and clean would give an image of being successful,hardworking,ambitious,goalseeking all these Attract people and could lead you to more friendships Try not to talk about people or yourself all the time and focus on issues of the day as most persons are Usually turned off or away if you keep blabbing all the time.You can also open up or set up a blog online introducing yourselves to your community slowly and gradually these blogs are usually free of charge and are all over the web you can even subscribe to a blog through subscriptions these might take you a long way in adjusting yourselves to your various communities it might even give and make for you a lot of friends make sure you have a camera at hand as you might need to take pictures all the time If all these dont work you might like to go on holiday or a visit to the countryside or change neighbourhoods Especially if the persons living there dont want you and are strong about it That might help save your 'Skin' as if you leave quickly you might not have to struggle again for relationships or Opportunities in any new neighbourhood as 'talk' spreads fast in any Neighbourhood ,region or area you might go to afterwards The writer of this article is not the subject of this article and does not have any handicapps that affects his normal daily living william Saint website ClickhereMyspace
